Christian Distinctiveness

At Kilmersdon Church School, we create a place of trust, forgiveness and peace so that our children can develop the skills they need to persevere and flourish in life.  With friendship and hope, all our children are able to live life in all its fullness.

At Kilmersdon Church School we have a strong relationship with St Peter & St Paul Church in Kilmersdon.  The church is located at the bottom of Jack & Jill hill and a short walk for our children from the school at the top of the hill.

The church invite our school families and the wider community to attend worship for key events in the Christian calendar.  For further information on the local church and services can be found at https://eastmendiptrinity.co.uk/kilmersdon/church-services-kilmersdon/.

As a school we have a daily act of collective worship or assembly.  This includes teacher led worship, and worship through singing.  Over the course of the year we have a Values focus each term.  This value directs the worship and themes for that term.

Our school values direct the worship themes for each half term and we use the Roots and Fruits resource to support our Christian worship and spiritual and moral development.

Our half termly values are:

Autumn 1 - Friendship

Autumn 2 - Perseverance

Spring 1 - Trust

Spring 2 - Forgiveness

Summer 1 - Peace

Summer 2 - Hope
